Corbisiero scores first try of 4
Jul 08, 2013
The British & Irish Lions thrashed the Ozzys to win the test series for the first time since 1997. An emphatic game, saw the very best of the Lions break through in the second half, with a total of 4 tries by the visitors.
One of the most amazing games of rugby, a game of legends saw the very best from in our opinion the best player in the world, Leigh Halfpenny, and the full team to outperform the Wallabies in their own back yard.
The first test win since 1997 has given the very best rugby, and shows that after all the stick and crap given to Gatland, he can proudly say that he got it right.
"I don't want to gloat. It was a tough call but it's about the boys winning the series," said Gatland.
"I was absolutely shocked, it was vitriolic almost in terms of the criticism," he said. "We made a tough call and we knew there was going to be some fallout from that.
"I have not taken a lot of pleasure out of tonight in terms of feeling vindicated.
"Maybe in a week or two I might get some pleasure out of this, but at the moment there isn't a lot of pleasure because of the amount of criticism that had been personally placed on me.
